Yuki Amane is a gentle, unflappable costumer from Mayuri's cosplay circle — and, per the arithmetic no one in 2010 is allowed to say out loud, the future wife of Itaru Hashida and mother of Suzuha Amane. On Beta branches, where Suzuha operates openly inside the lab, Yuki's introduction produces the franchise's strangest recurring scene: a soldier from 2036 making shy small talk with her own mother about wig care.
Suzuha's existence requires this marriage on every worldline that reaches 2036 with a resistance in it. The lab therefore treats Daru and Yuki's courtship as infrastructure — Okabe has personally intervened in at least two dates, with the desperation of a man protecting a causal chain rather than a friend's love life. The pairing looks improbable exactly once — on paper. In person, Yuki's serenity turns out to be the one force in nature Daru's self-deprecation cannot outrun. She finds his forum-brain funny. He finds this incomprehensible. The wiki finds it adorable and canonical.
Within the circle, Yuki is the finisher — the one a half-built costume goes to in the last seventy-two hours before an event. Mayuri's MayQueen variants, Luka's more elaborate commissions, and one legendary full-armor build documented at comima-79 all carry her seamwork.

Never appears on screen — on Alpha branches the lab implodes before the cosplay circle's winter event, and the introduction that starts everything is never made. Whether Daru and Yuki still find each other off screen is one of the fandom's favorite unanswerable questions.
Fully present: the courtship, "Operation Arclight," and the strange warm scenes with Suzuha that only the audience can bear the full weight of. On the darkest Beta branches, the marriage happens in a world already at war — the resistance's records list her as a supply officer, which surprises exactly nobody who has watched her run a seventy-two-hour costume crunch.
The good line's version is almost aggressively ordinary: a fabric-shop part-timer dating a hacker who finally worked up the nerve. The wiki notes, without further comment, that of every relationship in the cast, this is the one the Steins Gate worldline changes least.
Yuki's cosplay circle — never formally named on screen, listed at event registration as 「May Queen's Court」 — overlaps heavily with the lab's orbit:

- Suzuha, a combat engineer who can field-strip a time machine, cannot thread a needle. Yuki teaches her, patiently, in one quiet Beta-line scene that the fandom refuses to stop citing.
- Her train commute passes Akihabara station at 8:02; Daru planned an entire week around learning this and then failed to board the train. Twice.
- Tea over coffee; hems by hand even when the machine is faster; has never once raised her voice on screen.
